Forestview Students
This week has probably been an okay week. It started off rough because I was reaaaally sick because of seasonal changes but I started to feel better closer to the end of the week. I really don't like when it's warm outside one day and the next day it's dropped to almost freezing. >:[ Anyways, on to better things. This week we finally got to meet with Forestview students which was probably one of my favorite classes this semester in English because I love interacting with others especially since I can definitely relate to how they may feel starting college and all the thoughts going through their head. One thing I value the most about college is the responsibility that comes along with all the freedom. I love being on my own and I think I'm doing a good job at balancing everything out. It allows me to get my priorities straight and focus only on me. College makes you mature about the decisions you make because you're dealing with different people from who may be different to you and most importantly teaches you the importance of time management.

I agree with you and I also thought that this was one of my favorite classes as well. I loved interacting with the High School students especially since we were in their shoes just a year ago. I remember this time last year when I also had a lot of questions about college and none of them ever got answered. It felt really good to share my experiences to help them make decisions and to inform them on how college really is. It also really made me realize that my life has completely changed in the past year and I really am growing up and learning new things everyday.

ReplyDeleteThis was one of the most intersting assignments that I have done. I never would have thought that i was going to be talking to high school students and giving them advice about preparing for college. This class surprises me everyday.
